CB Extension is a free Chrome add-on developed by simon.ngigi that aims to help online shoppers in Kenya save money by comparing prices from multiple retailers. In this high-cost environment, it can be challenging to ensure you are getting the best price while shopping online.

With CB Extension, you can compare prices per item across different supermarkets. As you add products to your cart in your favorite retailer's online store, the extension works in the background to compare prices against multiple supermarkets. It then presents the best saving option as a pop-up, allowing you to easily see where you can get the item at a lower price. If the saving is interesting, you can expand the pop-up to get more details and navigate to that exact item in the best-priced retailer.

Additionally, CB Extension shows you similar quality but cheaper products within your current retailer. This feature allows you to automatically switch out the current product to your next best alternative and save more money.

In the future, the extension plans to introduce features such as automatically creating the cheapest cart at the next best retailer, creating alerts for favorite products to receive notifications on discounts and offers, getting cashback from consumer goods companies for buying specific products, and expanding to multiple retailers like electronics.
